The "Wanna Bee" campaign was created by 7-Dippity for Crime$toppers of Henderson County, North Carolina. Crime$toppers wanted to heighten area children's awareness towards crime prevention. 7-Dippity created the Wanna Bee character as a symbol kids could identify with for reporting a crime that they witnessed. A Wanna Bee coloring book was produced and T-shirts with the Wanna Bee character and Crime$toppers' hotline number were printed by 7-Dippity. These materials were distributed free to members of the community. Crime$toppers also used the media as an outlet to help get their message across, including newspaper coverage and radio and television broadcasts.
